You will experience more backache at this stage and stretch marks on the abdomen, breast and thighs. Some parts of the body will start to darken. Fetus now grows and begins to start a routine like sleeping and waking up.

The third trimester (week 29 to week 40) is where major discomfort begins. Difficulty in breathing may start. Baby is getting bigger and bigger and it produces more pressure on your organs. Baby’s immune system starts to develop at 34th week. At the end of this last trimester, baby cannot move too much anymore since all the space in the womb has become occupied. As a mother, you may notice your belly button sticks out. Hemorrhoids and sleeping troubles are common. You may feel excited buying baby’s stuff now. The decision whether to breastfeed or not may be decided at this stage. Anytime baby may be born. Therefore, it is important to know the signs of labor. As your due date comes nearer, the cervix becomes thinner. This actually helps the birth canal to open during the birthing process.
